How Phonepose works
Getting started
- Pick a template
- Open Start designing, choose a category and click a template's stack to see all 8 screens. “Use this template” opens it straight away.
- Keep it as your design
- A template opens as a preview. Click Save this design in the bar at the top, or just start editing: your first change saves it to Your designs automatically.
- iPhone, iPad and Android
- The iPhone | iPad | Android switch at the top makes that device's version of your design (re-spaced for the wider iPad, on a Pixel for Android) and links them, so you can flip between them. Android downloads come out at Google Play's sizes.
Your screenshots
- Add them
- Use Upload screenshots on the left, or drag files from Finder onto the page or straight onto a screen. Name files 1-home.png, 2-search.png and so on, and each goes to that screen.
- Place one by hand
- Click a screen (or a phone on it), then click a screenshot in the left panel. It goes on that phone.
- Other sizes
- Screenshots for iPhone Duo and iPad have their own tabs in the left panel. Switch the size at the top to see each device.
3D phones
- Move and turn
- Click a phone, then drag to move it. Switch to Turn 3D (or hold Option) to rotate it in 3D. Pose presets and exact angles are in the panel on the right.
- Copy and delete
- With a phone, text or sticker selected, the copy and bin icons above the screen copy or delete just that item. With nothing selected they copy or delete the whole screen.
- Undo
- After any change, an Undo button appears under the screens it touched. ⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z work too.
Phones that cross screens
- Spread a phone over two screens
- Drag a phone past the edge of its screen. Its other half appears on the next screen, lined up exactly, so in the App Store the two screenshots read as one wide picture.
- Move it as one
- Moving either half moves the whole phone, and a screenshot dropped on either half fills the whole phone.
- Edit the halves separately
- Click the phone and choose Linked · unlink under it. Each half becomes its own phone. Resizing or turning just one half unlinks it too.
- Keep it cut off
- Delete the half you don't want. That phone then stays on its own screen wherever you move it. Copies of it can spread again.
Headlines
- Key words
- Wrap a word in *asterisks* to make it the key word, like Track *every* run. Give it its own colour, a hand-drawn circle, underline or box, and even its own font, under Key word on the right.
- Effects
- Shadow, glow, outline, pill and chip effects are under Effect. Text stays sharp at every export size.
Backgrounds
- Connected backgrounds
- Under Background, Connected draws one artwork across all your screens, so shapes flow over the seams. There are over 20, from silk ribbons to retro grids and city skylines.
- Scenes, photos and more
- Solid colours, gradients, single-screen scenes, glows and your own photos are there too. Use on all screens copies a background or layout to every screen.
Downloading
- Exact store sizes
- Download gives you a ZIP of every screen at the sizes you pick, each one checked against App Store Connect's rules (size, no transparency, sRGB).
- Pro
- Designing is free. Downloading needs Pro. You can buy without an account; sign in with the same email later to use Pro on another computer.
- Where designs are kept
- Designs and screenshots are saved in this browser. With Pro and signed in, they also sync to your account, so they open on any computer. Only you can see them.
